There are some private individuals who invest in this. They would get nothing until the house is sold and that might not happen for 20 years if the other owners vote to keep the house. That is why the selling price would be very cheap.

Why would someone offer to buy my house if it's not for sale?
Some one left a note on my door that said, we buy houses and I am interested in yours. I called out of curiosity and the guy said he's a flipper. I told him my house is not for sale %26amp; I asked why did he inquire he said he found it on a list and said it had rats. What is he talking about? What list? We do not have rats, we have lived here 3 years.
I would sell if it was an offer I couldn't refuse but we didn't even talk money.

I have seen horses with the best bloodlines..... the greatest horses ever... go for nothing or get tied up and left for nothing. These records also might have music on them that have different 'A' and 'B' sides than what was originally released to the consumer market.
Different records collectors and fans have different ways of putting values on these types of things and while one record collector might say, for example, that a record is worth $50, a true fan or groupie of the artist might be willing to pay $100+.
Another factor (and probably the most important one of all) on basing the value of a record is the overall condition. By this, I mean, you might have a true collectible, but if it has deep scratches and the label is not pristine, it could be absolutely worthless.
I AM NOT IN THE MARKET, personally, OF CURRENTLY BUYING ANY RECORDS, but when I do go out looking for them, one of the first ways I look at a record is to find those with covers that do not show the outline of the record or any signs of wear along the edge that has the title and artist on it. Then, I will hold the record or 45 at a slight angle in the light and look for any deep scratches in the vinyl, itself (some scratching is ok, but the deeper scratching is a sure sign that the record has severe scratching in it) and I will avoid these. I also factor in my personal favorite artists and genre %26lt;my personal taste is music from the 1950s to the early 1990s%26gt; as to figure out what I might be willing to pay for something (and this varies).
You can also go to the local bookstore and find a book called The Official Pricing Guide to Record Collecting in the Collectibles section to get a basis of finding out what your collection might be worth in case you might want to know what your records are worth.

I wake up every day and feel I need to make this day better than the day before....... and create such a memory that no other day can measure up to it. But then that seems so overwhelming that I want to crawl back into bed and hide underneath the covers.
My daughter is moving up to high school next year. She's leaving my school. And all I've done for the past two weeks is look at her and wonder how in the hell this happened? It was just yesterday when she walked through the front door with me and I cried as I realized that my own kid was going to my school! And now...... now she's 14 and taller than me and smarter than me(ok those were her words...... not mine lol) and I'm wondering where the years went. Then I look at all of these pictures. Seriously....... finding this question this morning (and its the only one of yours open!!!) was so timely because my youngest daughter has all of her year books opened on the floor right now comparing how she's changed. And we were JUST talking about things that happened in 1999 when my oldest started school.
I know I want to make this summer something they both will remember. I know that I cling to that fact every day that I might not ever have another one.
I just know that I don't have to work to make them special..... these amazing kids just make it happen...... naturally.

He arrived at 5:08am and left at 5:20am. Apparently he was in a hurry to leave for some reason. Why isn't this on the news instead of just one single blog article??? The American media is pathetic.

They will sell Adebayor, no doubt. Milan are trying to get him cheaper, that's all. I think he will go to Milan for about 拢26-28million.
Wenger is a great builder of teams rather than buying, they will stay a good club without the huge wage bill.

I bought a promotional cd from Ebay. It sais ';not for sale'; on the label. Is it illegal to own it?

Can't be too sure about all this, though. I work in publishing, but I pay attention to the words, not the money. :)

I am familiar with a textbook on the Technical subject of JPEG2000 by Taubman and Marcellin. The book's cost was about US$120.00 while in Taiwan I saw that the exact same book in English was about $US35 equivalent in Taiwanese money.
The authors forego huge copyright fees to sell knowledgeable texts to the rest of the world at a much lower cost simply to make the knowledge available. In the US they assume all American students and Engineers can afford huge royalties for the authors and charge exorbitant prices for the books.
To make this system work, they must prohibit the sale of the reduced royalty books in the USA.

Empty building but not for sale?
I live in Cumbria, UK and there are a couple of empty house that obviously need alot of work doing on them but are not for sale. We are intending to move and would love to buy one of these houses but when they go on the market they go for over asking price and we can't afford to compete. Is there anyway we could find out who owns there empty houses and would it be okay to contact them and offer to buy it off them??Empty building but not for sale?

The land registry should be able to tell you who owns the property and there is no reason why you shouldn't be able to make an offer directly to them.
However, if they are part of a group of properties it is more likely that they will be looking for someone to take the lot.

Do a reverse phone look up and see who the heck the phone number belongs to. If it is a real estate agency then you will know its fishy. You can google their name, talk to local police etc to find out more about these people before you call.

The reason you need a Realtor is both you and the buyer need someone to do all the ';leg'; work. Your attorney will not attend the home inspection, or the fire inspections or any of the other items that come up and the Realtor will.
You might also want to get an appraisal. Do not show it to the potential Buyers or even let them know that you have it.
Once all this is done to your satisfaction. Invite them over with their realtor in tow) and enjoy the complement of their wanting to see you house.
