the survivin' beatles (and the estates of john and george) still retain the performance rights to the beatles catalog...so it's a legal issue...
there were reports and rumors late last year that a deal was very close that would make the beatles's songs avavilable on itunes sometime in the first half of this year...Why are Beatles songs not for sale on I Tunes?
No contract with Apple Records yet.
They may not be up on sale on iTunes because they probably do not have the permission to sell their music.
