How do i find out who owns a house not for sale, its just abanded i want to see if they would sell it?

The record of where the taxes are sent are at the county and the assessor's office in your township. Most assessor's offices are on-line. Find out what township the property is in and do a property search with the address through the assessor's website. If this doesn't work then go to the county building with the address and do a search there. At the county building you will be able to get mortgage information and other public documents. Good luck. How do i find out who owns a house not for sale, its just abanded i want to see if they would sell it?
In Missouri it's called the County Assessors Office...you need the address, or if in the country, a way of identifying the property...How do i find out who owns a house not for sale, its just abanded i want to see if they would sell it?
The tax registrar of the city or county where the house is lists all properties and the owners.
